The homework questions below should be done in your homework books and you may staple the question sheet in there as well. Also, you can fold and staple the graph paper inside the homework book. Make sure to write the date that the homework was assigned, or the date that it is on top.  

1.      A mobile phone company charges a base rate of Rs 500 every month and then Rs 3 per minute for any local or long distance calls that a consumer makes within Pakistan.

     (a)    Write a function for C, the total charge on a consumer’s telephone bill, as a function of the minutes of talk    time, t, in a given month. (In other words, a formula that relates C and t, where C is the output and t the input.)

      (b)   Use your function to complete the table of values for the following inputs given below.

2.      The table of values below shows some of the inputs and outputs of a linear function.

(a)    Write a formula for this function, relating y and x, and then plot a graph on a separate piece of graph paper.
